Dear all,
Just wanted to let you know that developments are on going. I want to share a 431 MB video (avi format, no sound) to show the new stuff in 0.8.8.
Wait, but was there not a 0.8.7 beta out? Yes, but it contained too much bugs so we never wanted to release a production version. Instead we took the time to make a good version with additional functionality. One important thing that we are working on is the automated upgrade of any ProjectPier version into 0.8.8. The idea is that it should not matter what is customized on the database as long as the changes necessary for 0.8.8 can be added to the database.
Enjoy watching the 0.8.8 trailer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TZE-uPmMJo
Thanks for the great work, looking forward for this next release.
indeed everything looks stunning!
along with new useful features like subprojects
i'd say it's a huge leap from 0.8.6
I have to say I was losing a bit of faith in this project, but now I just want the upgrade! I would of like to of seen more on the Tickets side, as for me this is just about the most important part :) and to add that the original date the ticket was listed doesn't seem to be shown on 0.87beta. Any clues as to when this will be ready?
What exactly do you want on the tickets side? I have added the ability to link it to a milestone.
Hard to say as there where no tickets in your list. However displaying the tickets in categories, with easier ways to edit the details (Lots of ajax now so this may already be there), also age of ticket and priority are important imo. Till I see more of the new version it's hard to know.
I have added the ability to sort and filter tickets in all possible ways.

Ok, stop teasing us and give us some source! :)
Wow! It looks great! Good job! Looking forward to the official release.
Thanks so much for making and sharing the video preview.

Is this code already available somewhere for testing purposes?
I checked Github, but don't see anything there...
It's unclear how one could test 0.8.8 and possibly contribute to it when finding bugs. Is this not done in the open?
Sorry if I missed that somehow... I'm new to the project and want to check out the latest dev version that was demo'ed in the video

I just installed 0.8.6 for the first time and am using it in production.
This program is just fantastic--and with all the features I needed! Looking forward to the next release.
Thanks for saving me (and my pocketbook) from Basecamp.
Wow! It looks great! Good job! Looking forward to the official release.
Thanks so much for making and sharing the video preview.

PP has come a long way and my staff and I are huge fans - Currently the only major reason we've kept our other hosted project management account open was the ability to link pop/imap email accounts to the ticketing system. Is there any plans to work this into a future release? or possibly a work-around we could utilize in 0.8.8?
Thanks and please keep up the good work!
Just starting with ProjectPier now, setting up to roll it out company-wide in about a week. 0.8.8 looks fantastic, but I have a question - I notice a "Reports" tab on some of the pages but no show in the video. Any clues on the report functionality it might include?
Thanks - and thanks for your hard work on this excellent software!
Is there a planned release date? We are looking at implementing projectpier or another solution and would like to use projectpier.
Do you have any timelien on when the 0.8.8 will go live? I really really want the tickets to be linked to the milestone. Much appriciate the hard work on this.
I feel like this project is in some serious need of UI/UX help. I don't know why div folding seems so important, but laying out content in a clear and concise manner is more important.
I just added some neat tricks to have a little bit more fun :-)
div folding can have its merits but a better UI design would be great.

I just popped by to see how projectpier is doing. and... wow. someone's been working hard.
It shall be interesting to test
