Dear all, enjoy testing the new 0.8.8
Just wanted to let you know that developments are on going. I want to share a 431 MB video (avi format, no sound) to show the new stuff in 0.8.8.
We've just completed an upgrade of the software that runs the projectpier.org website. Please report any problems with the website to me through my contact form.
Release 0.8.7 alpha is out. As this is an alpha version, expect errors and changes in the user interface (e.g. Gantt chart will move to Reports).
DO NOT USE IT FOR PRODUCTION
Check the release notes for all the changes. One important change has to do with uploading files. It should reduce the number of messages about 'Failed to upload' to near zero :-)
All changes to 0.8.6 (languages, themes and patches) can be found here:
There is vital part missing related to permissions in the database upgrade script from 0.8.0.3 to 0.8.6. The details and fixes are mentioned below:
If you skip this fix, you will never be able to set permissions.
My apologies for any inconvenience caused.
0.8.6 is going stable on December 30th. Now it is time to start up the process of gathering requirements for the 0.9 version.
Let me know what you want in the next release. If anyone knows a smart way of doing this (automated) let me know. Otherwise it is just: Use the comments and poor phpfreak will collect them :D
Please use 'Add new comment' for every requirement.
The new project team is working hard on ProjectPier version 0.8.6. The estimated release date is December 30th 2010. The most notable changes are:
