Create new Projects but no admin right

is there a way to give people the right to create projects but not have admin rights

Unfortunately, not at this time, but it is an identified deficiency and will hopefully corrected in the next major release.

It's been more than a year now, you've had one release in this time and it is still in beta -- and it does NOT include a feature to make regular users able to create their own projects. For us, this means that all users basically have to be admins -- which also means that all users can change the password for all other users.

This means that even though ProjectPier seems more stable at the moment, we are currently gonna go with Collabtive instead, even though it still has quite many bugs.

But I'll definitely be looking back into PP in ½-1 year and see if you guys have made further developments on this.

(Btw, please do not see this response as anything but a compliment. We have been investigating approx. 20 different PM apps. PP and Collabtive was the runner-ups in the FOSS category, as we does not need all the bloated features of dotProject. Streber probably came in third.)

(And activeCollab was #1 in the commercial category, which we'll might switch to if collabtive are going commercial also.)

Cheers

that this feature will be integrated in the next few weeks?

I'm completely new to Project Pier, and love it, but this is already something I'm desperate for too... So looking forward to the next release :)
