Further restrict client company permissions?

Is it possible to prevent the client company employees from editing or marking tasks or milestones as read? As the owner company, I want the only rights to edit tasks and to decide when they or milestones are complete.

I have the Manage tasks and Manage milestones check boxes on the client permissions page unchecked but all that seems to do is remove the Add task list and Add Milestone links from the respective tabs.

Yeh, I would love this feature too. It would only make sense to prevent client people from editing tasks and closing off milestones.

sorry, but I'm not able to understand the philosophy behind this feature; may be it's because I have not followed your concept correctly; but at the moment, I don't see it's in tune with the contract based work environment and work methodology.

We're doing Projects for the clients; so ultimately it's their approval that matters. If there are certain tasks which you're creating for internal use then make the task like Private so only Owner company members will be able to access it. If the Tasks are created by the Client and/or for the Client then I think you should give them access to make it Read or mark as completed. After all that's how it is, right? We develop the code and deliver it to the client to test and review. If they say it's Ok then it's done. And in that case, why to increase our own Administrative work to tick mark each item which client has approved? Let them do it.

Forgive me if I've not followed your concept correctly. :-)
