Use Massmailer als non Admin User

Hi,

is it possible to grant every user access to the mass mailer?
It would be a helpful tool.

I dont believe that this is good idea. If you manage different project with different clients, then its really bad if someone send to all of your clients an email. And even more, this email might contain information that should not to be shared with other clients.

This is very dangerous to allow everyone to send mass mail to everyone! Use Project message board for this.

You're right. But it would be very handy in my case to be able to send a mail to a user without creating a message on the board.
Of course you could send a normal email but since the mail adresses are all in PP, why not send them from there?

Probably still the best scenario is to use message board for this.
Its really very big security risk to allow everyone to send to all emails. The idea of practicing something like that is not acceptable.

I couldn't understand why you don't want put the message on the message board if you anyway want to send it to everyone?

You please better explain what are you trying to do?

I don't have in mind anything bad about you by saying, this idea sounds like fixing tooth trough bottom hole :) Its just metaphor. There is obviously much better way to do that what you want. Better explain what is your actual idea.
Please note, that there are legal restrictions about unwanted messages to! You just couldn't send to everyone email if you want so, it requires that you have followed certain procedures before, which are required by law!!!

PP isn't planned as junk mail application. Make sure that your idea follows CANSPAM rules. Its very dangerous idea to send email to just on the address list that you have in one system. Even that fact that you have sort of address list does not give you legal permit to send mass mail to this list!

And even more, how you have confirmed that people from this list are agreed to allow to send everyone to them mass mail? Your idea can even be illegal.

So, please explain better what are trying to do?

Wow, didn't consider that it was illegal what i was asking for ;)

We are a small group of artists and actors working together to play theater.
In times when we are not working together we need a platform to communicate, share files, do some planning.... Just what PP is.
If person a wants to tell person b something, it would be handy to be able to just klick on his name and send him a message. Since PP has no PM System, this could happen by sending a simple mail.
No need to post "Hey Simon, what's for lunch today?" in the message board...

Sorry. Probably I got you wrong. Do you want PRIVATE MESSAGING in PP? Like private message inbox and outbox and sent box. As on many forum boards have?
Is that what you mean?
