Dashboard stream: added - updated

It would be nice to have a small time delay in which you can edit your recently added item before it is indicated as an update in the dashboard stream.
In our project we see that 2 out of 3 items are updated almost immediately after creation..
I am also interested in this feature. My users are not familiar with strange text formatting syntax of Textile, they also can't preview it. So the cycle of post, edit, post, edit would repeat many times in a short while. The dashboard looks very nonsense in those cases!
