When will the new version be released?

I have been using WP for nearly 2 years. I dearly love it and want to continue to use it. From what I have read the next planned release will include the main functionality that I am missing... a way to track the time spent on projects.

I would like to know when this new version is to be released.

I know there is supposed to be a time tracking patch but I have never been able to get it to work. I really hope this release is very soon or I will (with great sadness) have to find a different system to use.
