Vendor Account

Nowadays we may outsource our project into parts to different vendors or just one vendor. I think it may be helpful if we could add vendor account into ProjectPier Portal so that we could share the documents and track the latest status among the vendors. So, it would not just having own company/staff account and customer accounts but also vendor management feature. Any ideas on it? Thank you.

I think it was mentioned somewhere that partner companies should be declared as customer companies. I guess you can do the same for vendors.

Maybe the term 'customer' should be replaced with 'other' or 'party'.

It might be a good idea to add a list of participant roles which could be set for a specific party in each project.

E.g.

company A is participating in project X1 as builder (software)
company A is participating in project Y1 as partner
company A is participating in project Z1 as sponsor
company A is participating in project X2 as tester (software)
company A is participating in project Y2 as system integrator
