This is probably such a stupid question because everyone else seems to know how to do it. I opened an account and logged in and couldn't do anything, like create a new user or upload a file... then I realised I hadn't actually installed it. So I clicked install or download or something, and it came up asking me if I wanted to open or save it? I tried both, at different times, but all it does is open up a folder full of folders and nothing seems to have changed when i go to "Projects" - it still suggests I download it! Am I just being stupid? What do I do now?

How to install it!

Hello,
the logging you mentioned is linked to the ProjectPier website, ie. to access the forums, not your ProjectPier installation itself from where you can effectively create and manage your projects.
Apparently you already donwloaded the application ProjectPier but simply did not install it.
So now you need to proceed with the installation (which is rather simple).
In the Manual (access via the ProjectPier website) you'll find the
requirements and installation instructions.
Hope it helps.
Bye,
Bruno
Don't take this as a criticism, just good honest advice. Given the questions you are asking, you should seek help from a system administrator. Does your company have an I.T. department? Projectpier is software you need to download and run on your own web server. Your IT department can setup a web server for you and install Projectpier software for you.
