Problems updating my account profile

I just installed project pier and when I try to update my Admin account profile it lets me and everything looks fine. I click update profile and it sends me back to the main page. But when I go back to my account details everything is still the same as it was originally? Display Name is the same, Timezone is still London, and none of the phone numbers that I entered are there, so none of the changes that I performed were successful.

Any ideas?
