from a newbie: plans for the future?

Hi to everyone. I've been keeping an eye on PPier ever since I heard ACollab was going "closed source" (or something like that).
Now Ilja has announced the details for v.1.0, and that makes me even more interested in Project Pier, not only for cost reasons, but because I'm interested in a product with an open and active development community.
But reading around the site, I don't quite get where PPier is heading. I understand Acollab's news is fairly recent, and that maybe plans before that were sketchy, but so far, what are the plans? where does PPier want to go?
I'm unfortunately no developer, but would love to be involved with front-end design :).

We've been using our own projectpier installation to organize development and releases and have been heartily discussing where and how projectpier is going. At the moment we are discussing how we are going to continue discussing actually, so there should be more information around here in the future.
Our quietness is because we are using the product ourselves, not because we aren't talking :)
Cool, good to know there is stuff going on behind the scenes. Looking forward to your conclusions and to see if i can help along the way :)
