"Stand-by" status for projects

It would be nice if projects without any pending tasks or milestones could be put (manually with a checkbox or automatically) in a "Stand-by" status. They should still be visible on the projects list page, at the bottom of the page and in a "greyed" fashion.
I agree with balder. I would go one step further to say have the ability to make a project start date so the Project Overview is organized according to how soon the project starts. I deal with a lot of 3-5 day projects and the project list seems like it will fill up quick if I am booking project months ahead.
I believe something of this nature would be great, even if it was an optional selection of different views would be ideal.
I use an app called BillQ -- everyone should check it out www.mybillq.com and a feature they have reminds me of this suggestion. I can select to view bills "in the next 7 days", "in the next 14 days", "next month", "next year" etc --- all from a drop down that dynamically updates the page.
In this case it could be "sort projects by date added (descending)". sort projects a-z, sort projects by company --- of course my wording is just an example but functionality would be great. I would prefer to have the sort by company option because I'm often thinking of the company first when I jump into the projects list.
