Preview Before Submitting

Perhaps it would be beneficial to add a 'Preview" button so that we can see the effects of the Textile formatting or any formatting capabilities ProjectPier might adopt in the future. My dashboard is flooded with "Updated" updates since I usually screw up with the putting mark-up elements.

This is a non-trivial task and will take a lot of work but it is worth it. Previewing content, especially when we are asking people to use an unusual formatting scheme, is very much expected in web apps these days. If we don't have it it makes us look amateur.
The dashboard thing is also an excellent reason for it. Removing document updates is a bad idea but as it is it really does flood the dashboard whenever you try to do something simple like get a list inside a list.
that's a very good feature to have in the next release
what we usually end up doing is that if we come across a mistake in the message, we just edit the message afterwards.
too bad the people involved don't know of the change til they logon
I agree that previews would be nice. However, it might also make sense to include some additional logic in the dashboard: specifically, if user a updates an item multiple time within a specified time frame, only one action would be published to the dashboard.
In addition, as a de-clutter for a very busy project, you might consider a condensed dashboard syntax like "So and so commented on item a + 3 others".
This latter condensation might be a bit too much to start with though.

I agree that previews would make projectpier much better usable, especially when sending out longer messages to clients.

I would love this, specially becaus PP sends an email to al suscribers when a message is posted, if U send out a mistake, it feels really bad....
