Description
First, I love most everything about SP2, BUT it won't let me add a user!
I go to Add Contact, and create the contact, then I go to "Add User" under the contact, which takes me to the "Add User" page. Upon completing that, it brings me to the "Edit User" page, and when I click submit again, it says "Requested user does not exist in database."
Okay, I've found out what causes the problem. On the Add User page, if you try to add permissions on that page, that's when the error happens. If I leave the permissions alone, and only add permissions once the user has been successfully created, then it works out. But still, can we get this fixed? It's definitely still a bug, and drove me nuts until I figured it out (and I shouldn't have to tell my collaborators that when they create a new account, they need to avoid messing with the permissions until after the account is created).
I'm also running SP2 and experienced the same problem. I didn't assign any permissions and this worked for me as well. I was then able to assign permissions after the fact. Would be nice to get a fix for this. Thanks!
I have the exact same problem.
Only when giving permissions when creating a new user.
Has anyone found a solution?
Same here.
Glad I found this post.
1. When creating a user, you can't add them to any projects under the permissions section.
- You have to edit their permissions once they are already created, or you will get the error above.
same issue, thanks for this post
Where and how can I add permissions afterwards for a user?
See screenshots below.

I hope this helped you.
In the future it is better to ask questions like this in the forum. Bugtracker is mainly for bugs and features.
