"You don't have permission to access the requested page"

Just did a fresh install of 0.88
When trying to add a project, just get the "You don't have permission to access the requested page" error.

Then uploaded the files from sp1.
Then uploaded the files from sp2. Tried to run public/patch/patch.php?id=088-sp2, but there was just an error.
Still can't add projects.

Tried the SQL from http://www.projectpier.org/node/3030. Didn't solve the problem.
Any ideas?

Chris

Install 0.8.8. Run the install. Upload sp1. Upload sp2. Run the patch.

To add project, open user 'admin', check 'Can manage projects'.

Thanks for that. Did try that, but it took me ages to actually find the "Can manage projects" option.

Now I have, it's working fine.

Bless,
Chris

Let's play Find That Option! =)

Now that I spent fifteen minutes tracking down the 'Can manage his/her own projects' option too...

To access this option in question:

1.) Mouse over 'Administration' in the utility menu at the very top and select 'Company'.
2.) You will see your user listed twice - once under Contacts and again under Users. Click the 'Edit' link for the user instance which appears under Users.
3.) In the Options fieldset, the bottom radio button is labeled 'Can manage his/her own projects'. You must set this option to 'Yes' and click the 'Edit user account' button at the bottom.

If you get an error trying to edit a user to get to the options listed above, view the following thread:

I cannot find the service packs in order to download them. They do not appear to be on the download page. Where can I find them?

Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page.

Thanks. No wonder I couldn't find them. They should be at the top of the page, just underneath the link for downloading the main package.

Good idea, I'll do that.
