Hi there,
We use ProjectPier and would like to feed our local changes (which, so far, are mostly bug fixes, but may include new features in the future) back to the community? What's the best way of doing this? I see you are on Github, so should I just clone the repo and push our changes back to Github (as 'pull' requests), but looking at the git log, this doesn't seem to be the way things work. I've tried attaching patches to bugs, but so far haven't had a response to any of them.
How should I contribute? We already have some valuable updates to offer.
- Mark
Hi Mark,
Great to hear that you want to give back to the community!
Although it has been a bit silent the past few weeks on Github, that is the way to go.
I suggest you clone phpfreak's repo ( https://github.com/phpfreak/Project-Pier ) and make some pull requests. I guess that is the best way to get your bugfixes in PP.
Oh,
And a warm welcome to the community!
Cheers,
Engelbert
Already cloned, but wasn't sure it was the right way to go about things due to it being so quiet! :-)
I will start sending pull requests soon.
All the best,
- Mark
OK - I've sent a couple of pull requests. I'll be interested to see how quickly they get dealt with!
Hi Mark,
we are using PP since some years for our NGO work and it is great. Phpfreak has done huge work to improve this tool and I think its very good news if more developement people contribute and add the enhancements and bugfixes they fixed.
thx a lot, best, Dominik
