Like other Project Pier themers -- I am not a PHP coder, but a graphic designer, and specialize in CSS.
I started out with the basic default theme, and fixed a few things here and there (or nerfed them depending on my coding ability and // hiding // things in PHP) and came out with this:
At the moment, I am calling it 'Party'.

Basic Changes:
1) Removed all dropdown UI (except for adding projects, tasks, etc.) and replaced them with icons with ALT text.
2) All header content is properly inside of a wrapper with a fixed width / height.
3) Project overview pages include a list of ALL files / messages (writeboards) / files (assets) / activity.
4) Changed lexicon.

Sadly, I can't see your screenshots as it appears your host has locked down your account. However, I like the changes you've noted. I've very much like to see and help you develop the theme if you would like an extra pair of hands. ;)

I would like to check it out. I have been using Marine and would like to get away from all the dropdowns. Kampro was nice but it seemed to have some problems.
