Project - subproject

I have PP installed and it is in use in a non-profit environment. A week ago, We've started a very large project for over 2 years. In this project (a birthday party for 10,000 people) we have 4 smaller subprojects. To keep my PP structured, I thought of putting these subprojects as a sub of my main project, but I couldn't find it anywhere.
What do you think of the idea of subprojects?

I use the Task Lists as sub-projects.
Hi,
This project is this big, so every subproject has also a lot task lists. Furthermore, people not involved in sub1 don't want to recieve notifications of this project. It could be solved by putting them in different clients, but every subprojects doesn't always have the same group of people. Often, we mix the group when making a new subproject.
This sounds like more what you are trying to do is a project with multiple phases to it - which I generally just create multiple project and name similarly. i.e. Name_phase1, Name_phase2, Name_phase3
fwiw - I'm not trying to ignore the request for sub-projects, I just realize it won't be possible for quite awhile, so consider these options as possible alternative solutions.
Hi,
No problem, I understand it will take a while. At the moment I can help myself. Thanks for all the replies, it could have been a possibility for me to find an alternative.
For us sub-projects are not phases but all running at the same time?
So if you create them as full projects, they all need the same milestones, which if changed need to changed in each project. Then it is hard to get an overview of where the full project is at.
We are developing a large software system that has sub-systems. Each sub-system is kind of a sub-project. The development of each sub-system happens in parallel.
So for example a release (milestone) of the full system (project) will have different versions of the sub-systems depending on what state of development they are in. So full system release 1.0, will have sub-system A 1.1, B 2.0, C 1.4, etc.
At the moment we use Task Lists for the sub-system releases. So we have task lists for Sub-System A Release 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, etc. Which are assigned to a Milestone. The only problem is moving task from one Sub-system release to another. We could also make use of Sub-projects depending on how they would work.
I hope that all makes sense ;)
I second that! :)
