Wrinkles - Feedback from a new user
**Scenario:**
I've just loaded PP. It should be exactly the thing I'm looking for.
**Results:**
My observations on getting started.
Some are documentation things.
Some are confusions that might be smoothed over.
Some are bugs (Mentioned here but reported in Tech.Prob. forum)
Overall the documentation and simplicity are _excellent_.
**Details:**
_Installation wizard:_
Excellent (really good level of hand-holding) ... until it wouldn't let me access my new database.
The solution was to give it the root pw of my mysql installation
(which under xampp defaults to null). So possibly a bit of
help (probably in the wizard error msg) for things to check
if the result is 'can't connect' should include this point.
_Welcome to your newly created account_
Should "(you can bookmark this link)" be "... page)"
_Dashboard>Account>Update avatar_
I _guessed_ this was a picture. Wouldn't _photo_ be better; that's the terminology used elsewhere.
(Good to see it trapped illegals)
_Dashboard>Administration>Company>Add user_
Is this really an *error*?
Failed to save object because some of its properties are not valid
* Sorry, selected email address is already takenIs my hand been held too tightly? For example Jim in accounts
leaves and Mary in accounts takes over, I don't want to delete
user 'Jim' for historical reasons but Mary has the same
'accounts@...' email address.
_Dashboard>Administration>Company>Add user_(1)
Email 'your new account'
(Of course) this doesn't work unless the server is set up
with a mailserver running. There was no mention of this in the
installation/requirements section.
_Dashboard>Administration>Company>Add user_(2)
When notifying new user of password there is something broken in the sending mechanism. Details in Technical Problems forum.
_Dashboard>Administration>Clients>Add client_(1)
False error message:
Homepage value is not a valid URL
Details in Technical Problems forum.
_Dashboard>Administration>Clients>Add client_(2)
I'm not sure what purpose all this client info serves.
That's all for now.
