iCal not updating changed milestones

I've noticed that iCal 3.0.1 (under OSX 10.5.1) isn't properly reflecting milestones that have been edited to have a new date. If I create a new calendar using the feed, the milestones appear in the new date, but they don't appear if I simply refresh the subscription. Newly created milestones DO appear just fine when the subscription is refreshed. Any ideas?

Since a newly created calendar gets the corrected dates correctly, we can say that the feed is updated correctly as well. So it's not a bug on that side but most likely some kind of quirks that make iCal not read the old fields...

Unfortunately, I don't know enough of the iCal format to see if there would be anything special to do when updating an old field...

Do you use any other calendar feed with iCal (like Google Calendar for example)? Do they update the dates fine?

I'll try it myself too.

I've just set it up with google calendar. Since google calendar doesn't update automatically, will have to check later on to see if it works.

Do you refresh the calendars in iCal?
I know that my Google Calendar need me to press Command+Shift+R to update. I think it might be the same thing with the calendar of ProjectPier. From your first message, it seemed to me you do it but I'd like to check ;-)

Tim

yes, i refreshed.

I was having this same problem yesterday when I was trying to set up a calendar feed to a google calendar with the URL. I noticed that today the google calendar did update, thoughrobel.

So, maybe it just doesn't get the information from the URL immediately, but nightly or something? Just guessing.

I think it would also be useful to look at the raw ical feed to see if the data is updated. It is also possible this might be related to the various timezone settings.
