User redirected to login page after "successful" login

I've seen that there is already a bug reported in regards to this issue. But see that it is in regards to running apache 1.3.
I am experiencing same issue but with apche 2.2.6.
After a "successful" login my users are directed back to the login page.
Host Setup at time of failure:
Apache/2.2.6 (windows xp pro)
PHP/5.2.5
MySQL 5.0.45
Installed with wampserver(wampserver.com) on home based web-server.
WampServer 2.0 [21/11/2007]
Please help.
Have you been able to test using XAMPP as is suggested in the documentation?
I'll try it out on my development machine and post my results here.
It dawned on me that maybe you're not allowing cookies in your browser.
I am having the same issue. I have a clean install of PP. All of the setup screens are indicating that everything has been loaded properly. My software is also all up-to-date. After entering the initial administrator account information I go to the login screen. When I enter the userid & password I keep getting looped back to the login screen. I have verified that login info is correct, yet I can't get passed the login screen.
Any ideas?
