Hi
I'm having some difficulties installing project pier under a remote host; ipower.com, I have requested some help in other forms but i think main problem is because of the host. Hence the question, has anyone successfully installed project pier under ipower?
thank you

Hi Adam,
I don't personally know of anyone who uses ipower.com, but if you follow these steps (which I've just written) and then update this thread, it'll help us to see if there's anything that the program doesn't like with your hosting :)

Hi Adam,
I've had some personal experience with a client of mine who used ipower. They use the most constraining configurations on their Web servers for web developers. Which make it almost impossible to run any web app such as PP. On top of that their support is the worst I have ever seen, sometimes they would return an email in 2-3 days and sometimes they won't respond at all. You have to wait hours to get them on the phone.
I had some much trouble running my clients website that I had to move him to another host. I personally recommend mediatemple or intermedia.net. Great Support and very well configured servers.
Thank you both,
Alex, I created the file like you outlined in the post, link is http://www.apurk.com/projectpier/ppsupport.php I will create another post outlining my problem.
Skittles, you are right about ipower, their tech support is terrible. Unfortunately I still have another year left on the plan, hopefully I can figure this out. But its good to know the problem is most likely with the host configuration, at least now i know where to look.
