upload image issue

It appears that images over 3000 pixels in either dimension cause a corrupted file (perhaps thumbnail) after upload, which prevents any screen that should depict that file as rendering simply as a blank white page with a broken link and no css in the rendering. I have tried many work arounds and the only thing that has allowed me to get project pier to work with large images is making them smaller.

I've discovered that simply noting the id of the corrupted file and manually typing it in to the delete url allows the same file to be tested until the problem was isolated. Perhaps a link to delete the file that appears before the thumbnail in code would allow this solution to be executed more efficiently.
