attaching files already in PP to messages
Submitted by Tate on Mon, 03/31/2008 - 23:12.
I want to add a message and attach a file that is already in the files section of my Project Pier site. In this instance, and I think this might not be uncommon, I want to draw attention to the fact that there is another revision of the file and have people look at it. Saving multiple versions of a single file is a great functionality of PP, but I want to make sure people see that.
What is the best way to do this?

Hi Tate,
that's something I noticed actually. In fact, I saw that when you create a message you can only attach new files, however, and that would be your work-around for now, once created you can attach files that are already uploaded by clicking on the "Attach files" link.
It would probably be worth changing down the road...

Thanks Tim.
I guess I had never attached a file to a message after I actually posted the message, but now that you pointed it out I see the functionality you're talking about.
Actually, I really like that simple interface with two radio buttons for attaching a file from files section or attaching a new file. It is straight-forward.
Even though you may not use it all the time I agree that this would be a better way to attach files in the original message
Thanks again,
Tate.
