the version 0.8.5 doesn't exist yet. From what I understand, the name has been put in place by Ryan (lead developer) mainly for the issue tracker to make a difference between the issues in the current release and the features to come.
I might be wrong on the reason but the point is that version 0.8.5 doesn't exist for now. You can get the "nightly build" though, if you toggle the contributor links in your profile, or get the trunk from SVN. That would be the closest to 0.8.5 but not quite there yet though ;-)
We are getting closer to the 0.8.5 release however, most of the team is concentrating on getting things "right" instead of just plugging in bad or untested code. Which is very commendable in my opinion. Things are really picking up steam and 0.8.5 is looking to be a great release.
Hey guys, I am very much enjoying this product. Thank you so very much for all you time spent developing this. Do you guys have a release date planned for 0.8.5?
Good work to Ryan and all you people who make Projectpier work. I am a user of 0.8.3 and like something of its simplicity.
It's good to see of plans to keep it in development and use.
I am not a programmer but if you need someone to try out bits of it, then I am willing. I haven't the foggiest idea (at present) how to access SVN, trunks, nightly builds etc. but I can learn.
Thanks
Rob

They decided that the end of January in 2009 will be the release date for 0.8.5
Looking forward to the new release in the next couple of weeks then ;-)
How are things coming along, any updates on when a new release will appear?
