Can't get past step 3 of installation.

Hi all,
I've downloaded pp and have a MySQL database. All works fine upto step three of the installation. I place my database connection details into the form, then hit the next button but all it's doing is refreshing the form on that page.
I can get the form to complain about not being able to connect to the database if I don't give it a password but with the correct details it just refreshes with no message at all.
Anyone know what I can do to get to step 4?
I've fixed this issue now. For anyone else who experiences this... it was down to permissions on the installation directory. I guess I didn't have some write permissions where needed.
