no email notification for comments

Hello all
I have installed PP 0.8.0.2 and all has worked well so far.
I have noticed though that emails are not sent when a comment is
posted to a message. When a new message is created all subscribers
receive an email notification but no further emails are generated for any
comments posted.
I'm not sure whether this is a bug (i will post a bug report shortly)
or if there is something else I should be looking for.

BTW This has to be one of the easiest PHP projects that I have recently installed, well done!!
Further to my previous post I have installed PP on a local computer running MAMP
and configured the mail settings to use SMTP server. The post above referred to PP
installation on a linux cluster using PHP mail.
I have found the same problem, comments posted to a message do not generate a email response?
According to the instructions on the message page
"Subscribers will receive an email notification whenever someone (except themselves) posts a comment on this message"
I have not been able to prove this part works - has anyone else got this part working?

When is the next PP update happening?
